Experience With Pets!

Animals have been a part of my life since childhood. My first dog, Angel, was a rescue who didn’t trust me at first, but with patience, love, and care, she became my best friend. I helped care for her when she had puppies, teaching me responsibility, empathy, and how to nurture animals through every stage of life. Losing Angel after so many years was one of the hardest moments of my life, but her love continues to inspire how I care for animals today. After Angel, we welcomed Bella, a playful Siberian husky. She needed more space, exercise, and adventure than we could provide, so we found her a loving, active family where she could thrive. Later, we brought in Benji, a Maltese poodle full of personality and joy, and most recently, we adopted Napoleon after Angel’s passing. These experiences have taught me that pets are family—they rely on us for love, care, and safety, and I am committed to giving every animal the attention, patience, and compassion they deserve.

Other Activities

  • Community service has always been important to me. I’ve volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in East Palo Alto, supporting youth in after-school activities, and participated in food drives with Second Harvest to help families in need. These experiences taught me teamwork, compassion, and the value of giving back. I’m also proud to have received the Seal of Biliteracy Award for fluency in Spanish and English, which allows me to connect with more people and honor my Latino heritage. Together, these experiences have shaped my values and inspired me to use my skills and voice to make a positive impact in my community.
