Participate in the effort to raise awareness and increase enrollment in the federal nutrition program for our community in need in Alameda County. Additionally, be able to provide food referral assistance.
Providing office support to the CalFresh staff in a fast-paced environment, as well as assisting with CalFresh applications.
• Prepare CalFresh application correspondence to mail to clients.
• Prepare and maintain various confidential reports, records, and files.
• Conduct client phone and face to face pre-screening to identify eligibility for CalFresh Program.
• Provide application assistance to clients for government nutrition programs.
• Provide appropriate client case management and follow up, as needed.
• Assist with front desk administrative duties.
Responsible for being the first point of contact in person and over the phone on behalf of ACCFB. Knowledgeable about Food Bank services and programs as well as being able to provide any information to clients/guests.
● Provide general information about the CalFresh program.
● Conduct by-monthly analysis of CalFresh survey data using highly confidential information.
● Maintain accurate inventory of department supply orders.
● Assist Emergency Food Helpline supervisor with food referrals and follow up information to callers or walk-in clients.
● Responsible for security badging every guest before entering Food Bank premises.
● Provided day care supervision for babies and toddlers. Main responsibilities were to feed, clean, and entertain them such as taking daily walks. Also, greeted parents in the drop off time as well as pick up time.
● Maintained constant communication with parents throughout the day using a mobile application.
