As someone who has worked at a local coffee shop and a corporate shop, I've gotten the chance to sharpen not only my customer service skills (as I regularly made drinks and worked the drive thru) but also adapt to the fast paced environment and thrive off of it. With my time at Starbucks I was able to achieve goals such as getting nominated partner of the quarter by my shift leads and coworkers, and become a barista trainer! Getting chosen to be a barista trainer and passing my requirements truly meant a lot as it showed that the higher ups noticed my want to make a difference in the company. As a trainer I’ve learned a bunch of new ways to reinforce a positive environment all while teaching in styles that people like best. Due to the fact that I took a step back from school this semester, going into fall and having mostly online classes should leave my availability pretty open!
