Summary

I believe that all children are capable and competent learners who are filled with curiosity and an innate drive to learn. I have always believed children learn best through play where they are encouraged to explore their curiosities through hands on experiences and purposeful play. Providing rich and varied opportunities for children to explore their environment, use language, engage with peers, and interact with responsive adults are important foundations that guide my practice. All children are capable and competent in their own way and by adapting and modifying instructional strategies and activities, I provide a safe and inclusive learning environment where children learn to value themselves as capable and competent individuals.
