My name is Amelia Hartley-Way and I am currently a Grade 10 Student at Holy Heart of Mary High School. I'm looking to get a part-time job to become more involved and learn skills that I'll use for the rest of my life. It would be good for me to get out there and work towards goals so that I can be prepared for any future challenges. Some of my favourite hobbies include playing basketball, baking, and playing video games!

I Have Volunteered As A Basketball Coach

I'd help out the more experienced coaches plan fun activities, drills and games for the campers. It was also more of a learning lesson for me to be around little kids and be a role model to them. It was my first time having a responsibility like handling kids, for example me being there to help them tie their shoes or go to the water fountain. It brought out a more mature and focused version of myself I didn't even know I had since I was responsible for little kids and had to make sure they were safe.
