Strong, confident, experienced, and well-respected non-profit leader with a deep understanding of issues of inclusion, equity, and diversity, and challenges facing Toronto’s vulnerable and homeless populations
Charismatic and adept at team-building and providing reliable oversight; utilizing robust research to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative programs that respond to community needs
Strategic advocate with a proven track record of successful inter-governmental, inter-ministerial, and multi-systems partnerships and relationships
Passionate, motivational, and professional communicator with a flair for negotiation with stakeholders with diverse interests
Tenacity to manage complex projects and initiatives from inception through to completion
Solid understanding of governmental decision-making and policy processes and cycles
Lead the department’s daily operations; directly supervise Senior Managers overseeing unionized staff and peer workers from an anti-oppression, trauma-informed lens
Develop and maintain effective internal and external strategic relationships
Set priorities and assist with program development based on community need and opportunities to further the mission of TNG
Actively participate in and lead internal Team Meetings and individual supervision sessions
Assist with the development and submission of funding applications and program evaluations
Ensure compliance with reporting and contractual obligations including data collection, statistical reporting, and other documentation requirements
With Human Resources and members of TNG’s leadership, lead recruitment, onboarding/training and hiring initiatives; support performance improvement strategies and reviews, and internal investigations in adherence with TNG’s policies, procedures, and Collective Agreement
