• RN IN LONG TERM CARE, Perform duties as a charge nurse. Palliative care, dementia care unit experience Ability to work independent and as a team in stressful environment. Implement medical procedure and treatments Collect lab requisition sample Maintain patient files, med reviews, follow up MD orders Observe resident for sleep studies, PAP application and providing O2 therapy and monitoring. Delegation of tasks to PSW and RPN as needed. Scheduling of staff as a charge nurse Administering medications Advocate residents and families. Monitor Residents during their mealtimes. Use of nursing process: Assessment, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation. Report to DOC or ADOC any immediate changes or as needed Do new admission and readmission and discharges. Utilize critical thinking, problem solving and decision making to provide competent care to resident. Ongoing follow up and evaluation of residents. Attend in service education on regular basis to enhance knowledge and skills. Managing and reporting of any staff incidental injuries
• RN IN HOSPITAL, Utilized the nursing process, provided nursing care based on recognized professional and legal standards of practice, perform focused head to toe assessment. Collaborated with other members of health care team Report and record relevant data related to patient condition and record nursing care Insertion of IV cannula, NG insertion, urinary catheter, IV pumps, collect blood sample for lab test, care of patient on ventilator Monitor blood and other test results Maintained high quality care especially regarding infection control Administered medications, oxygen, blood and blood products and assessed the response working experience in Cardiology, Respirology, Neurology, Geriatric care.
