As wish granters, our role involves meeting with wish children and their families to identify the child's deepest desires. We engage in collaborative brainstorming and planning to enhance the wish experience. Operating in pairs, alongside Make-A-Wish staff, we strive to fulfill the wishes of every eligible child.

• Offered emotional support during challenging times of transition or personal struggles experienced by mentees.
• Facilitated personalized discussions on topics such as stress management, test-taking strategies, and goal setting, empowering students to succeed academically and personally.
• Supported new student orientation efforts by creating informative presentations on campus resources and services available to incoming freshmen.
• Assisted students in identifying their strengths and weaknesses, helping them develop personalized learning plans.

I had the privilege of meeting and shadowing the esteemed Senator Ratna Omidvar, gaining invaluable insights into the workings of Parliament Hill and the persistent challenges surrounding equal representation in Canadian politics. This opportunity allowed me to immerse myself in the intricacies of political life while networking with professionals in the field, deepening my understanding of the importance of diverse voices in shaping legislative decisions.

Furthermore, my active participation in the Women in Parliament's Leadership Summit, under the mentorship of Senator Ratna Omidvar, has equipped me with essential leadership and advocacy skills. Collaborating closely with the senator, I contributed to the preparation of speeches and arguments for engagements with the Social Affairs, Science, and Technology Committee on Bill S-235. This hands-on involvement provided me with firsthand experience in addressing equity issues and advocating for marginalized minority groups, further enhancing my ability to effect positive change in areas of social justice and equality.

My tenure as a Committee Review Board member for McMUN has significantly developed my capacity to offer insightful recommendations aimed at fostering equity and inclusivity within the organization. In this role, I was tasked with meticulously evaluating committee slates to guarantee a comprehensive representation of diverse topics and regions. This proactive approach not only bolstered engagement with equity but also facilitated the generation of more varied and inclusive feedback. Through this experience, I have refined my ability to analyze and enhance organizational practices to promote diversity and equity effectively.
