Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care - Los Angeles
August 2023 - April 2024
As an Master of Social Work student intern with Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care some of my duties consisted of engaging residents in various therapeutic activities designed to stimulate cognitive function, memory, and motor skills. These activities included reminiscence therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and cognitive games. I also observed and documenting changes in clients' behaviors, cognitive function, and physical health as the information was vital for the healthcare team to adjust care plans accordingly. Structured routines for clients were maintained to provide clients a sense of security and familiarity in their daily lives.
