An accomplished attorney with broad and progressive experience in corporate transactions and litigation files, with over a decade of experience in various legal industry positions. Experienced with all stages of legal work, from researching complex law areas and drafting and reviewing complex contracts to appearing and pleading cases before various levels of courts.
As a litigator, I have experience in family, civil, estate and employment litigation matters, appearing as counsel and co-counsel, assisting senior counsel in preparing and completing several trials and long applications at the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal. Further, I have experience in transactional matters, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex securities contracts and patent licensing agreements while engaging a wide range of direct and third-party stakeholders in effective dialogue. I also have substantial experience in drafting and reviewing commercial real estate contracts.
I first started work in the legal field as a legal assistant with the Legal Services Society. I worked as a legal assistant and paralegal in a few firms and governmental organizations until I was eventually appointed to the position of Judicial Administrative Assistant with the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Later, I returned to pursue my articles and was called to the Bar in December 2021.
