Summary

As a highly motivated and enthusiastic MASc graduate in Geotechnical Engineering, I am driven by a passion for applying my academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. My primary objective is to gain practical experience at Groupe ABS, which will provide a more profound understanding of my MASc research.

Currently, my focus is on expanding my expertise across various engineering fields such as Materials Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Steel Structures. I am also keen on honing my management skills, as effective leadership is crucial in the engineering sector.

I am excited about the journey ahead with Groupe ABS and look forward to contributing to and learning from this dynamic team.

Research Experience

  • MASc Thesis Title - Numerical investigation of weathered Leda clay slope stability due to rainfall infiltration extending the mechanics of unsaturated soils, 2020, Present, Numerical Studies were conducted using GeoStudio software (Slope/W, Seep/W, and Sigma/W) to determine the influence of rainfall infiltration on weathered Leda clay slope stability. Slope stability analyses are conducted by extending unsaturated soil mechanics for numerical studies. Estimated the SWCC for weathered Leda clay crust using prediction models to enable a more rational approach for the numerical studies.
  • Capstone Design Project - JacquesCartier Park Wharf Rehabilitation, 09/2019, 04/2020, Conducted in collaboration with DST Consultants and under the supervision of Dr. Rozalina Dimitrova. Held project meetings with senior geotechnical engineers from DST Consultants. Site visits were made to conduct site investigation studies of the Wharf. Presented renovation designs that involved numerous analyses, including slope stability, deep foundations, pavement refurbishment, and construction management. Nominated to represent the University of Ottawa at one of the PEO, CSCE, and OPWA competitions.
  • Undergraduate Thesis Title - Geotechnical investigation studies on Leda clay deposits in Eastern Canada, 08/2019, 04/2020, Presented literature review for equipment used in site investigation studies. Data collection procedures and sources were discussed in the thesis. Validation of the collected data sets is attempted by comparison with currently used empirical relationships. Completed under the supervision of Dr. Sai K. Vanapalli and entered into the "2020 Canadian Geotechnical Society Student Competition". GeoCalgary 2020 - Co-authored the paper "Data collection and information management across Champlain Sea Clay deposits of Eastern Canada" with Dr. Sai K. Vanapalli at the 73rd Canadian Geotechnical Society annual conference in Calgary. Attended the GeoVirtual 2020 (GeoCalgary) conference online.
