I started off my transition in to Housekeeping as a Lead with learning how to inspect rooms and provided feedback to housekeepers. I learned to use Opera and Rex where I would be able to assign rooms that needed to be cleaned and where I would be able to see guests that were set to arrive. Soon after I was promoted to Housekeeping Supervisor I went in to supervising up to 60 housekeepers and assigning daily tasks and making sure things were running as smoothly as possible. I continued to inspect guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas to ensure they are up to the hotel’s standard and any issues I would make sure to alert engineering staff. I also made sure to ensure that all housekeeping staff adhere to the hotel's safety and security policies and procedures and translating for them if there was a language barrier. I have also assisted upper management with any tasks and completed them in a timely manner as well as begun to learn how to do the housekeeping schedule. I developed and implemented best practices for housekeeping such as creating standard worksheets and service ticket work sheets to ensure the housekeepers are all on the same page.

Similar to Target as a Starbucks Barista, I made the beverages and food items offered by Starbucks to Hyatt guests. I was quickly able to adapt to the way Hyatt represented the Starbucks brand and was later was promoted to lead on February 2020 where I learned to do ordering of Starbucks goods as well as assisted management with scheduling staff accordingly and made sure to have the team up to date with their food handling cards as well as trained them on any new drinks. I assisted in the re-opening of Starbucks in the hotel after the COVID pandemic happened. When the Starbucks was renovating I also teamed up with upper management in moving to a smaller kiosk while the store was in renovation. During this time I guided the team and we all adapted quickly to the small service kiosk while still providing excellent service with the smaller menu offerings. Once renovation was completed I was able to assist upper management in the re-opening of the newly renovated store. I made sure the team was up to date on how to use the new equipment and quickly got them back in to the standard of how the store ran.
