• In April 2024 I placed gold at SkillsBC provincials in Abbotsford, which was followed by Skills Canada nationals in Quebec City where I also placed gold in May of 2024.
• Training for skills Canada nationals was usually 5 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. I have spent countless hours GTAW (TIG) welding aluminum and stainless steel, both full penetration. As well as building and welding pressure vessels with both plate and pipe in all positions using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW to meet the marking criteria standards. I had to produce welds capable of holding 1000psi while still visually looking outstanding. Every project was built to a blueprint and had to be to the exact mm, and the correct welding process had to be used in the correct spot, as well as the right size welds as per the blueprint.
• Having a very high attention to detail was a must in this competition.

• Maintain my welding truck and equipment making sure it is always ready to go for any job.
• Manage my company financially and physically making sure i have work lined up.
• Providing customers with quotes and invoices when necessary.
• Working under tight deadlines.
• Variety of welding including SMAW, FCAW, GTAW stainless steel and aluminum.

• Welded in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead using SMAW and FCAW.
• Fabricated shop parts directly from blueprints and shop drawings for various mines.
• Visually inspect welds
• Produce work that meets current CWB standards

Work along side heavy duty mechanic/red seal welder helping him when necessary, repairing logging and road building equipment.

Keep shop organized and cleaned up.

Gain hours towards heavy duty mechanic apprenticeship.
