- Collaborate with estimators, geotechnical engineers, and project managers, and other as needed to clarify scope and assumptions for bid projects

- Calculate earthwork volumes, structural excavation/backfill, and other construction quantities by using 3D modeling software's such as Carlson Autocad and Trimble Business Center

- Use 3D modeling software's to create and render a variety of surfaces such as existing surfaces, proposed designs,remedial bottoms, rough grade surfaces etc

- Interpret Geotechnical Soil reports and provide estimator with an extensive soil analysis for remedial grading and over excavation recommendations

- Track and update earthwork takeoff with new plans, Cad files, Addendums and any other updates to bid projects by coordinating with Estimator and Project Coordinators/ Contract managers

- Provide and maintain standardized Cut Fill exhibits, Grading composites, Google Composites,Geotechnical Composites, finish areas and any other requested exhibits and/or takeoff's

- Work on multiple projects in a variety of sectors of work from public works to private works and Energy/solar providing the estimators and engineers data and designs for any needed takeoffs

ESTIMATING ASSISTANT MANAGER

- Manage takeoff department by scheduling,training and overseeing takeoff technicians

- Maintain and manage a " bid list " for all upcoming and current bid projects by working with Estimators and bid coordinators

- Drive to and provide photos of bid sites to estimators using a drone to understand location, and real time conditions for bid projects

- Render 3D surfaces of existing ground, Proposed Designs and remedial bottoms for earthwork takeoff quantities and cut fill exhibits using Agtek modeling software

GPS DATA PREP

- Build and maintain precise 3D gps models for all active projects

- Coordinate with Surveyor to calibrate and prep new awarded projects to establish GPS systems for all GPS equipment and tablets using TRIMBLE GPS

- Fly drone to track active project progressions by rendering 3D topo in order to provide project manager real time data and quantities on a weekly biases

- Operate Plasma table to Cut precise designs from sheet metal ( 1/8" up to 4" thick )

- Read through structural plans to understand project design and needed plates for building erection

- Use AutoCad and Sigmanest programs to design connections plates, base plates, bolt washers and more

- Deliver orders to clients and active projects from small plates to structural beams

- Maintain plasma tables serviced and up to date with all software updates and keep parts up to standard
