Alina Ruiz

It was my first job. I started gaining experience as a cashier and in customer service. I learned to be fast, responsible, careful with money, and to grow professionally. In that job, I began to get more job opportunities because of my performance in customer service and because I always kept everything very clean and organized.

For two years, I worked at trade shows with Backyard BBQ. At events in Pomona, Costa Mesa, Watsonville, Lancaster, and other locations, I worked as a cashier. My experience there was very positive because I learned a lot. I know that being a cashier isn't just about standing around serving customers; it's also about keeping your work area clean, restocking condiments and drinks, checking if your coworkers need help, and so on. One of my strengths is my teamwork. I've worked with people of all ages, younger and older than me, and it's always a great learning experience.

In this job, I also worked as a cashier. I learned the entire menu and how to prepare the hamburgers. I worked for a long time at this franchise in different locations, such as Pomona, Oregon, Lancaster, and Pomona. I had a lot of help from my coworkers, and I worked very well as part of a team. I even got to work in preparation, so I learned how to make them, how to keep everything in order, how to always clean my area, refill condiments, take out the trash, put paper in the registers for printing, etc.
