The Halifax waterfront is a bustling tourist destination with an active port and many visiting marine vessels ranging from local sailboats to 300ft yachts and naval vessels. As a marina attendant for BUILD Nova Scotia on the Halifax Waterfront, I was the primary contact for all visitor bookings and inquiries for the Halifax Waterfront Marina. Those duties included but were not limited to;

  • Answering anywhere from 10-100+ inquiries daily via email, phone, and in person, about site availability and event inquiries.
  • Ensuring all bookings were organized acquired and responded to via our booking system.
  • Responding to security and maintenance concerns.
  • Acquiring visitor feedback regarding satisfaction and concerns.
  • Occasional assistance with event preparation and setup

Additionally, post-season (May-November), I assisted with event planning and set up for the winter season.
