I was trained as a Research Associate (RA) in the biomarkers department before my departure at CRL. Some of my task and responsibilities for the position include:

• Study Preparation & Organization: Prepared the binders for each assay containing all necessary documents and materials for the analyst, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Data Management: Calculated dilution factors and concentrations for standard curves, ensuring precise measurements.
• Data Analysis: Analyzed assay data and results, providing detailed insights to support scientific conclusions and decision-making.
• Sample Management: Assisted scientists in tracking and managing study samples, maintaining organization and integrity throughout the research process.
• Experiment Setup: Configured experiments and studies within the Watson data management system, facilitating efficient data entry and management.
• Collaboration: Worked closely with scientists to ensure smooth study management and effective coordination, contributing to the overall success of research projects

Worked at Charles River Laboratories as a Biomarker analyst where I perform sample analysis work using immunoassay and enzymatic assay techniques to help evaluate the progression of a disease, normal biological processes or pharmacological reactions to a drug.

My skills and experiences include:

• Technical Proficiency: Applied advanced techniques including ELISA, ECL, Luminex, RIA, Simple Protein (ELLA), and homogenization/pulverization
• Method Development: Contributed to the development and optimization of new analytical techniques and procedures, supporting research and development (R&D) studies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Conducted all studies in adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ensuring high standards of quality and integrity.
• Multitasking & Time Management: Efficiently managed multiple assays and studies simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines and working effectively under time constraints..

As a graduate student I was responsible for conducting my own independent project. My research was focused on the impact of posttranslational modification on tumor associating macrophages (TAMs). My responsibilities and acquired skills during this project include:

• Project Oversight: Managed all aspects of the research project, including data acquisition, supply management, and overall direction of the study.
• Technical Expertise: Conducted advanced techniques such as cell culturing of melanoma B16 cells, bone marrow extraction from mice, macrophage differentiation, and macrophage polarization
• Data Analysis: Performed comprehensive data analysis, utilizing skills in Western blotting, RT-qPCR, and flow cytometry for tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs)
• Mouse Model Management: Oversaw and organized a cohort of PRMT5 KO mice, ensuring proper handling and experimental consistency.
• Supply & Resource Management: Ordered and managed necessary supplies, ensuring availability and quality for research activities.
• Background Knowledge: Acquired and applied relevant background knowledge to support and advance research goals, demonstrating a deep understanding of the study’s context and objectives.
