  • In the winter of 2023, I was approached by Apollo Suns' leader, Ed Durocher, if I would be interested in joining the band on Alto Sax. I agreed with the condition that I would be able to perform as an opening act on any shows that they could book. As Alto Saxophonist and opening solo act, I toured with Apollo Suns in Canada and the US in 2024.
  • The challenge of learning over 30 charts, with elaborate horn arrangements and choreography, was part of the challenge that I welcomed, as it was an opportunity to get back into more traditional jazz-rooted methods of music and music theory than the EDM/Jazz/Soul genre that my solo career is currently growing in. Performing as one of the headliners of the main stage at this year's TD International Jazz Festival was a highlight for 2025.

  • Several nights a week, I performed my multi-instrumental live-looped solo set of original songs and remixes to an exclusive audience in a high-end resort restaurant as part of an artist residency that spanned over the last three years, roughly during February-May. Over the course of this time, I also performed at several private events and weddings in the area.

  • when I'm not doing Dad duties, I still enjoy playing basketball twice a week and gardening has always been a strong suit in my family.

  • following the 11th grade, I was awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee in LA
  • before I attended the University of British Columbia on a sciences scholarship, I received Best Senior Soloist at the West Coast Jazz Festival, was selected to the Yamaha All-Star band in my junior and senior years at Music Fest Canada, and was also awarded a partial scholarship to the Berklee College of Music
  • in 1999, my first group in Vancouver, Flannel Jimmy, was signed to a 5-album record deal with Nettwerk
