In fall of 2024, I hope to be attending Queens University for their promising engineering program.
I worked full time at a home hardware in both the lumber yard and as a cashier. In the yard I was responsible for loading customers vehicles with the product they ordered, loading our delivery trucks, and going to delivery sites to help unload the product. As a cashier I would work at the counter to checkout customers or stock shelves on delivery days. In a day I would often work both jobs at once to cover for multiple people.
The Wilds was a golf course where I worked as a general laborer. My main job was to go around the course and fill divots on the tee deck or fairways, but I would also do odd jobs around the course that needed to be done like stack woods, clear areas of debris, move materials like sand or gravel, and many other jobs.
Throughout my high school career I have taken the enriched math program at my high school which offers extra challenges and opportunities for those who are more inclined towards math. In this past year it has provided great insight into what university math will be like next year and has prepared me for what to expect from university curriculum and it's it's professors.
