Alberto Rodel

I was in the Group Leader position and it was to work with kids ranging from TK-6th Grade. As a Group Leader, I was supervising a group of around 20- 25 youth every day from Monday through Friday from school end to 6pm. My first year there I was working with TK through 2nd graders and I had the experience of having 2 kids with Autism where I learned to work and help them be better. I also had various experiences with many kids in my group which have ADHD. I have had the priverlage to work with every age group we offer at the program. My purpose was being Responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for children during the YMCA program. I Led activities and helped children develop social and educational skills. I Assisted with planning and implementing program curriculum. I also had to Communicate with parents and ensure that all safety protocols were followed.
