Going into my 4th year of studying doing a double major in English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Toronto. My areas of interest in philosophy are ethics, Kant, epistemology, ancient philosophy, and logic. I have excellent writing skills and have volunteered in positions in which I have learned and implemented equity-focused and inclusive methodology in pedagogical settings.
- Prepared a reading list for the club's academic meetings
- Founded the club which was later subsumed into the much larger Philosophy Academic Society at the University of Toronto due to the success of the club.
- Prepared an hour long lecture every week
- Learned how to manage classroom-like settings and how to properly resolve conflict and help others come to engage with the material
- Worked with a team of people and learned organizational and social skills
While this is undoubtedly less relevant, there is a case for its importance:
- Time management skills
- Communication and conflict resolution experience
- Non-academic practical business and service experience
- Consistency and reliability
