I am able to pick up on how certain jobs work very quickly. My position as Busser at the Boulevard Club taught me the value of hard work. I would often work very long shifts (as long as 18 hours), where I would be providing service to customers, carrying tables and chairs, running food from the kitchen and assisting colleagues (servers and bartenders). Working here has instilled in me a profound appreciation for going the extra mile in the service industry, this emphasis on hard work will remain with me in any profession. Working as a camp councillor at Willow Springs Camp taught me the value of communicating as a team. We had a camp staff of about 30 people, so communicating with each other is necessary, especially pertaining to the safety of the kids. This job taught me how vital good communication skills are in a team-based work environment.
