  • Provide armed court security across Saskatchewan's provincial courthouses
  • Conduct perimeter screening using X-ray and metal detection technology
  • Manage and transport prisoners securely between courts, correctional centers, and RCMP detachments
  • Operate detention areas within court facilities, ensuring safety and order
  • Assess and respond to threats, duress alarms, and emergency evacuations
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in custody documentation
  • Enforce the Court Security Act (2007), Criminal Code of Canada, and The Police Act (1990)
  • Complete the mandatory nine-week Deputy Sheriff Training Academy
  • Operate as a Special Constable with authority to use necessary force to protect individuals
