My choice to study a combined degree in Biology and Psychology stems from my considerable interest in mental health. I would like to apply my passion for learning about mental health to working with individuals in a practical setting as a psychiatrist. On the road to achieving that goal, I'm striving to gain experience assisting in medicine and working with people who suffer from addiction. Aside from my professional aspirations, hockey is an important part of my life. I am passionate about the game and have been a part of a team environment for the majority of my life. I am proud to have had the opportunity to volunteer in many communities through the sport, such as reading in elementary schools, kids hockey camps, and many other fundraising events. I am currently assisting students at Hillcrest elementary school in weekly reading. Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, I developed a great interest in rock-climbing, which pairs nicely with hiking. I started road cycling as a method of training for hockey. But it has turned into a great joy, and my main method of transportation in Victoria.
