In my current role I manage the safety for two sites. One location is manufacturing, pre-assembly while the other warehousing.

• Lead both the Risk assessment team and JHSC
• Developed a forklift training program now used in two other regional facilities.
• Developed Lockout/Tagout protocols specific to each piece of machinery within the facility.

In this current role I manged both safety and training for two large distribution centres. Each for a different customer with their own expectation. All tasks below I conduct for both distribution centres, Ferrero and Hershey.

• Created a training program that mirrors a graduated license for material handling equipment. This allows the equipment trainers and supervisors to monitor new operators development. Increased speed is the reward for the operator. Increased productivity and decreased incident rate and severity for the facilities. I also say 25% reduction in the number of incidents in the first year.
• Develop and implement safety and training programs, operating procedures and work instructions.
• Liaise with HR on WSIB claims with focus on return-to-work programs
• Chair the safety committee for both facilities
• Developed physical demand analysis and job hazard analysis

• New hire training. This includes all safety policies and procedures. Also includes Human Resources policy.

• Transported goods between warehouse locations according to shipment and storage needs.
• Wrapped pallets in plastic wrap and attached merchandise tags to prepare for shipping.
