• Operating system in accordance with GPL's Transmission Operating Procedures, Alberta Reliability Standards (ARC) and North American Electrical Reliability Council (NERC) Operating policies.
• Monitoring adequate voltage and element loading, and implementing preventative and corrective action to minimize number of violations.
• Assessing impact of and implementing corrective actions required to restore system to stable state of minimum risk; and
• Preparing and safely carrying out planned and emergency switching procedures on power system.
• Provide information concerning state of system by logging events, including changes to system components and configuration, and recording disturbances and trouble.
• Compile information and prepare reports for purposes of documentation updates, compliance evidence, incident investigations, business justifications, customer and operating metrics, etc.
• Assist ACC Training Specialist with implementation of Operator Training Program by providing technical expertise and mentorship.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for ACC tools and technology to provide SME expertise and feedback. Also provide SME expertise to broader organization as required.
