With over 18 years of comprehensive surveying experience, I bring advanced expertise in legal surveys, topographic surveys, and construction layout. I have a strong track record of leading survey crews, clearly communicating project scope and schedules, setting expectations, and ensuring timely completion of project tasks. I am highly detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and committed to producing accurate and reliable results.
My technical skills include downloading, processing, and analyzing survey data using industry-standard software as well as completing field calculations with data collector software. I consistently prepare clear, detailed field notes with supporting sketches for all assignments. I am proficient in generating reports and presenting data through CAD platforms.
I perform effectively in fast-paced environments and ensure proper maintenance and protection of survey equipment. I actively participate in safety and quality-control programs and have demonstrated the ability to train, develop, and motivate survey staff. I am a team-oriented professional who uses strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills to guide and support survey assistants in their professional growth.
I collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and foremen to coordinate field activities. I am skilled in reviewing project priorities, timeline requirements, and survey methodologies, and I adapt quickly to new environments, embracing challenges in both field and office settings.
My technical proficiency includes the use of robotic total stations, GNSS/GPS systems, data collectors, laser and optical levels, and other modern survey equipment. I am experienced with Trimble Access, Trimble Survey Controller, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsurvey with strong abilities in data manipulation. I am also proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
I possess strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, and maintain a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Design:
2. Calculation and Data Processing
3. Team Coordination:
4. Data Quality Control:
5. Project Estimation
Key Responsibilities:
1- Data Analysis & Project Setup
Perform precise calculations and process survey data received from general contractors, including CAD files and control points, to establish accurate survey control in accordance with project requirements.
2- Topographic Surveying & Reporting
Conduct daily topographic surveys for road cut-and-fill operations, generate volume calculations, and prepare detailed field notes and technical reports.
3- Data Preparation for Layout & Grade Verification
Prepare surface models for grade checks and develop linework data for field layout. Upload finalized datasets to data collectors and produce section drawings for fill and grading activities.
4- Independent Field Layout
Execute all field layout tasks independently for underground utilities (MHs, CBs, test pits), dewatering wells, cut-off piles, light poles, contour lines, work pads, work zones, platforms, swales, collection ponds, stockpiles, and road alignments.
5- Specialized Layout for Civil and Rail Infrastructure
Perform precise layout for rail foundations, road and guideway curbs, Silva cells, soil trenches, bus shelters, retaining and planter walls, platforms and platform elements, railings, shoring walls, guideway duct banks, and access roads.
6- Quality Control
Conduct quality-control checks to ensure survey accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and adherence to industry standards.
7- As-Built Surveys & Documentation
Complete as-built surveys for installed utilities, civil structures, walls, reinforcement steel, existing foundations, and slabs. Prepare detailed as-built drawings, sketches, and comprehensive reports.
8- Volume Calculations & Reporting
Perform accurate material volume calculations for road fills, swales, and various construction components. Generate cut-and-fill reports and cross-section drawings.
9- Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Inspect and maintain survey equipment regularly. Operate robotic total stations and GPS systems with millimetre-level accuracy, performing all required daily surveys and layout operations.
