I am currently a student working toward becoming a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force (My first option) and seeking an opportunity to begin my career. Identifies and quickly closes any knowledge gaps to offer the employer and team value. My second option is medical; my mom is a registered nurse from Sri Lanka and here in Canada. I plan to follow in my mom's footsteps and become a nurse or a surgeon. I live in a religious Tamil background, am Hindu, and am proud to be in a spiritual family. I work hard towards my goal, set my mind to it, accomplish it, and do anything to finish what I started. My experience was first when I was a little kid from grade 1-5, being a soccer player. I was a star soccer player, a step ahead of everyone, above my age group. My dad moved to Toronto and sadly passed away on January 12th, 2020; at that time, I realized I couldn't be a soccer player because, without my dad as my coach, I couldn't have been able to play soccer; it happened when I was 11. But, when I was 10, I joined a program called "Navy League Cadet Corps." Specifically, #166 John A. Hamilton. When I joined this program, it changed my life by giving me leadership, cooperative behavior, relationships, good manners, and a good understanding of communication. My highest rank was an LC (Leading Cadet). It wasn't the highest, but I must leave at 12 because of the policy. I joined another corps called "335 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Calgary), where I learned a lot of new things. I learned how to sail a boat. I got my PCOC License (Pleasure Craft Operator Card, a license for driving a motorboat), made many friends, and developed a new kind of leadership. Currently, My rank is PO2 (Petty Officer 2nd Class). This doesn't mean anything because this year, I am learning how to teach cadets, how to engage them with activities and learning, and how they can become better leaders as well. This year, on June 6th, 2024, I'm gonna be promoted to PO1 (Petty Officer 1st class), where I can officially conduct, teach, cooperate, and engage them with activities and lessons. I forgot to mention that I was on a basketball team last year, playing for the "FCBA Blizzard." In 2023-2024, I played for the U15 Red, Going against many teams. We won one championship so far, and I am pleased. In the meantime, I learn to cooperate with teammates, take leadership, and gain athleticism. These are, so far, all my experiences and skills. Past or future, my goal is to accomplish and make sure that goal is finished, complete tasks as fast as I can that are given to me, and learn more things about life.
