My time waitressing has taught me how to communicate with customers to provide a positive experience. I have also gained conflict resolution skills, perfected my time management, and I am attentive to detail.
My job entails greeting customers as they come in and on the phone, taking orders both phone and dine in orders, ensuring they are correct, while providing a pleasant environment for a dine in experience. I also stock the waitressing area compiling a list as I go, of items that are out of stock or low in stock, so that they can be ordered within a timely manner. I often communicate with various vendors when shipment comes in ensuring that the product we received is correct, checking for quantity, correct product, and verifying cost amount. Once this is done and everything looks in order, I provide the vendor with a check or cash payment, gathering information such as order number and check number and filling it in the correct spot to keep track of expenses.
I am currently looking for a change in work environment, although I do love my current job I am seeking out administrative assistant/ receptionist jobs. I believe I can provide excellent customer service and a positive experience for your clients. I am strong at multitasking, organizational skills and working in high pressure environments. Although I don't have much training in an office setting, I am a quick learner.
