Mica Creek Apartments, Mica Creek, BC, 01/01/24 - Present 

Mechanical Design Lead and Project Manager for a new modular 72-bed dormitory building at the Mica Creek townsite, downstream of BC Hydro’s Mica Dam Generating Station. The building is designed for the accommodation of BC Hydro workers at the dam site. Logistically, construction of the building in situ was going to be difficult and costly so, in collaboration with the construction manager, a phased modular design approach was taken, with the rooms pre-assembled off-site and to be trucked to Mica Creek for final installation. Client: Kasian Architecture, for BC Hydro.

Correctional Service of Canada Alberta North & South Zone HVAC Studies, Various Sites, AB, 01/01/23 - Present, 

Mechanical Design Lead and Project Manager for the study and evaluation of the existing ventilation systems at Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) institutions throughout Alberta, including all buildings at the Bowden Institution, Drumheller Institution, Edmonton Maximum Security Institution, Edmonton Institution for Women, Grierson Centre in Downtown Edmonton, Pê Sâkâstêw Centre in Maskwacis, and Grande Cache Institution. The project is split into three tasks: an evaluation of the condition of the air handling systems and summary of air flows and air changes per hour in rooms with significant human interaction, an evaluation of the sufficiency of the ventilation and indoor air quality in all of those rooms, and recommendations to rectify any deficiencies found. Client: Public Services and Procurement Canada, for CSC.

Dairy Innovation West, Lacombe County, AB, 2020- Dec 2025, 

Lead Designer for a new milk concentrate plant for the Western Milk Pool. This project consists of an entirely new precast concrete building with production process space, truck receiving bays, office space and other ancillary support spaces. AtkinsRéalis designed the plumbing, fire hose & standpipe system, heating and chilled water plants, and ventilation and air-conditioning in the office space and ancillary rooms. The project is currently in construction. Client: Pacific Process Solutions, for Vitalus Nutrition.

CSC Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge: Hot Water Heating Replacement, Maple Creek, SK, 01/01/21 - Present Design Lead and Project Manager for renovations and repairs at the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge near Maple Creek, SK. Construction is underway to replace existing heating system serving the Main Lodge that experienced a series of catastrophic failures throughout the last heating season. Client: Public Services and Procurement Canada for Correctional Services Canada

Fleet Maintenance Unit – Life Raft & Joinery, Richmond, BC, 01/01/21 - Present, Mechanical Design Lead

Mechanical Design Lead for phased renovations at the Life Raft/Ship Safety and Joinery Buildings at the BC Ferries Fleet maintenance Unit Facility. The two-story Life Raft building consists of a large workshop space as well as back-of-house office and administration spaces. The two-story joinery consists of a large wood working and carpentry shop with administration offices on the second floor. Construction for the Life Raft building has recently been completed and construction on the Joinery will commence shortly. Client: BC Ferries.

CSC Bowden: A28 Corcan AHU Replacements, Bowden, AB, 2021 - 2025

Design Lead and Project Manager for renovations and repairs at the Bowden Institute near Bowden, AB. Construction is underway to replace seven air handling units and a make-up air unit located across a number of different workshop spaces that have all exceeded their life span. Client: Public Services and Procurement Canada for Correctional Services Canada

University of Lethbridge Destination Project, Lethbridge, AB, 2015- 2020

Mechanical Designer for the new five-storey, 36,000 m2, $250M Science Commons building. The building includes offices, lecture theatres, a central auditorium, laboratories, and a vivarium (animal research facility). Client: Stantec Architecture, for University of Lethbridge.

Rock Ridge Recreation Facility, Calgary, AB, 2013 - 2017 

Lead Mechanical Designer for the new NW Calgary Rec Centre which includes an aquatic centre, with a 25m - 8 lane competition pool, spectator viewing area, leisure pool with wave system and water slide, hot tubs and a steam room. The centre includes a multi-purpose ice rink and leisure ice rink as well as large fitness centre, three gymnasiums, running track and fitness studios. Other amenities include a 300 seat theatre, a 3,000 ft2 branch of the Calgary Public Library, childcare facilities, and food services. Project Client: GEC Architecture for the City of Calgary

Great Plains Recreation Facility, Calgary, AB, 2013 - 2016

Lead Mechanical Designer for the Great Plains Recreation Facility, an 80,000 square foot twin area facility in Calgary Alberta. The building consists of two multi-purpose rinks, spectator seating for 600 people, various sized rooms for use as studio, classroom and meeting spaces, food and beverage services, pro shop, change rooms, dry land training spaces as well as administration offices.
