A graduate in Mechanical Engineering and an experienced machinist/programmer seeking an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience in the field. Familiar with engineering principles and concepts such as CAD modeling, mechanical design, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes. • Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual equipment
• Machine and inspect parts, within tolerance, as required by work orders
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and matching operations such as drilling, boring and threading
• Able to read manufacturing paperwork/instructions
• Ability to access drawings, programs and documentations using a computer
• Able to read manufacturing drawings/blueprints
• Able to set up and operate CNC/manual equipment and tooling
• Able to perform basic programming or tool offset adjustments
• Inspection of parts (inspection techniques, interpretation of tolerances, gauges)
• Signing off completed jobs once they pass required inspections
• Communicating production/planning/engineering issues to related departments
