- Develop and implement site-specific safety programs for assigned projects in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
- Conduct new hire and site orientation briefings to ensure that all workers are aware of Bayview safety policies, procedures, and expectations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard recognition, and emergency procedures.
- Assist regional Safety Managers with various administrative tasks at Bayview office locations.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form within the company and to clients.
- Ability to work independently in a time efficient manner once a project is assigned and meet deadlines.
- Inspect various work sites daily to identify and correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors; Document all safety observations, non-compliances, and corrective actions taken.
- Identifies areas of non-compliance at company work locations and assigns action for appropriate corrective measures, obtaining assistance from senior safety department members only for complex or client relations sensitive problems.
- Report any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or near misses to management and relevant authorities as soon as possible and conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes and preventive measures; Maintain accurate records of all safety activities, such as inspections, audits, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, engineers, and clients on any safety issues or concerns and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on current safety trends, best practices, laws, and regulations in the construction industry and attend relevant training courses, seminars, or workshops as required; Continuously improve safety knowledge and skills to ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.
