Topic: Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) in Aerospace Industries.
Worked on an extensive project which involved characterization and analysis of various materials used in aerospace industries and their applicability in WAAM.
Project involved characterization of defects observed in Nickel, Aluminum, Titanium components used in aerospace industry manufactured by the WAAM technique.
Formulated methods to mitigate these defects in a cost-effective manner.
Wrote an extensive research paper which accentuated all the alloys that can be manufactured for aerospace industries using WAAM and the defects that can be observed in the corresponding components.

Project Topic: Determining the Factors Behind the Difference in Energy Consumption of the Two Conarc Shells.
Worked on methods to optimize the energy consumption in Conarc Shells by using the existing plant data and techniques available at hand.
Performed an extensive literature review and using the existing plant data, concluded the various systems that can be adopted to optimize oxygen supply and heat retention in the Conarc Furnace.
Learnt about the functioning of one of the few Conarc Furnaces in India.

Learnt about creep testing and handling of the creep testing machine and the Short Punch Creep (SPC) machine.
Performed Creep Testing of Grade-92 Steel samples.
Characterized V-Notched Heat Treated Grade-92 Steels and understood the pre-creep and post-creep morphology and grain structure of the samples.
Performed characterization of the samples using SEM, XRD and TEM.
Performed metallographic sample preparation of the steel samples using the EDM machine for SEM and TEM characterization.
