It's time for a change. If I do say so for myself. With that said, I'm looking for a new adventure, a new challenge in my life. I am a hard worker, and with a reputation that has expanded throughout the whole city, I know that clients and an entire organization know me by name and the services that I have provided, as well as a work/life balance to show my strengths. I know my knowledge and experience in my career in retail and union work have given me the strength to serve others in retail. I am willing to relocate, willing to travel, and to explore a new chapter in my life. Prime Duties:

Provide customer services in all duties regarding information, transactions, payment methods in handling debit, credit, checks, gift cards, and government vouchers for emergencies for food and products to low-income consumers, and calculate foreign currency exchange. Knowledge of food safety and practices, inspections of food products, and quality before being sold to patrons. Other duties include, but are not limited to, are:

  • Greet the customers.
  • Establish or identify the price of goods, services, or admission, and tabulate the total payment required using an electronic or other cash register, optical price scanner, or other equipment.
  • Wrap or place merchandise in bags for patrons.
  • Stock shelves, and clean check-out counter areas.
  • Weigh produce and bulk foods, and/or convert from metric to imperial measurements.

Secondary duties:

Union Work - Shop Steward, United Food Commercial Workers Canada Local #401.

This work is included with union work, with the familiar aspect of the company/union collective agreement (CBA) via SOBEYS and UFCW #401. Shop steward duties include, but are not limited to, enforcing the CBA at the store and company levels, representing members in the grievance and discipline procedures, and mobilizing members for union initiatives, including votes, strike committees, and education on actions and the understanding of the CBA.

I have been a shop steward since May 2019 and present the knowledge of benefits and pensions. Other duties include, but are not limited to, are:

  • Advise employers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, the collective agreement, compensation, and benefit programs.
  • Research employee benefits, and health and safety practices, and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies.

Safeway has a comprehensive health and safety program to minimize the risk of hazards and workplace injury at the store level, including store audits, inspections, WHMIS training, training on the OHS Act in Alberta, and a monthly workplace committee. Other duties include, but are not limited to, are:

  • Participate in workplace inspections, audits, and investigations of safety concerns, incidents, and accidents.
  • Participate in workplace inspections to ensure that equipment, materials, and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employees.

Various dates for elections in Canada and Alberta. During a called election by the government, both general and by-elections (from the by-election in Edmonton 2025) are included. I have worked in every election from 2006 to the present in both levels of government. The main roles I have completed were Deputy Returning Officer, Poll Clerk, and Central Poll Supervisor. The main duties are as follows:

  • Make sure the polling station opens and closes on time.
  • Setups and takedowns.
  • Verifies electors' ID and enforces ID policy.
  • Issues ballots to electors.
  • Candidates' representatives follow guidelines set up by the elections bureau.
  • Manages the custody of the ballots and ballot boxes.
  • Count the ballots and the completed forms for the results, and communicate the results to the bureau.
  • Register voters and provide information to the voters.
  • Ensured the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
