I'm an aspiring dental professional seeking a shadowing opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to patient care, dental procedures, and clinic operations. I bring extensive volunteer experience in healthcare environments, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. I have foundational knowledge in how a dental clinic operates as I have toured a dental clinic before and from going to dental appointments, I have had positive interaction with the dentist and the staff. I have hands-on experience gained through academic projects and internships. I demonstrate strong teamwork, problem-solving, and time-management skills. I'm preparing to apply to dental schools in Canada, and ready to learn and assist to make meaningful contributions with commitment and drive.
As part of the Reading and Running Club, I mentor elementary students in literacy and fitness, fostering resilience, self‑confidence, higher reading levels (Journaling), and healthy habits. The school where I mentor is Queen Mary Public School.
- I promote health equity within African, Caribbean, and Black communities (ACBs) through culturally informed outreach, education, and advocacy.
- Lead interactive HIV education sessions and connect individuals to accessible, culturally safe care.
- Contribute to community-based research and support health equity events focused on anti-racist care and public health awareness.

Also posting on social media and sharing educational tips, resources, and positive affirmations!
Selected to represent Kids Help Phone (along with my fellow friends from Kids Help Phone) at One Young Montréal 2024, a globally recognized summit that brings together young leaders from over 190 countries to address urgent social, health, and environmental challenges. As an OYW Ambassador, I collaborated with global peers on cross-sector solutions and deepened my understanding of healthcare equity, innovation, and leadership.
I've completed the Action Accelerator Program, a selective initiative that supports Ambassadors in transforming ideas into tangible impact through mentorship, strategic planning, and measurable action. This experience has strengthened my commitment to inclusive healthcare and patient advocacy, skills I continue to apply in clinical and community-based settings.
