I have foundational knowledge in how a dental clinic operates as I have toured a dental clinic before and from going to dental appointments, I have had positive interaction with the dentist and the staff. I'm preparing to apply to dental schools in Canada, and ready to learn and assist to make meaningful contributions with commitment and drive.

  • Collaborated with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ottawa to develop a public health education resource focused on opioid harm reduction for students aged 9–18.
  • Designed and presented "A Learning Guide on Opioids for Students", targeting both youth and their key influencers (teachers, guardians), with the goal of improving awareness and reducing stigma around opioid use.
  • Investigated social determinants and early health behaviors influencing opioid misuse among youth, and assessed how early harm reduction education can influence behavior over a two-year period.
  • Synthesized academic literature and harm reduction frameworks into a knowledge product tailored to the needs of local school communities.
  • Engaged in applied health promotion by aligning project outputs with real-world policy challenges, including Ontario’s defunding of harm reduction programs.
  • Received positive feedback from CMHA Ottawa staff and university faculty for the project’s relevance, evidence-based approach, and community impact.

Accomplishments

Selected to represent Kids Help Phone (along with my fellow friends from Kids Help Phone) at One Young Montréal 2024, a globally recognized summit that brings together young leaders from over 190 countries to address urgent social, health, and environmental challenges. As an OYW Ambassador, I collaborated with global peers on cross-sector solutions and deepened my understanding of healthcare equity, innovation, and leadership.


I've completed the Action Accelerator Program, a selective initiative that supports Ambassadors in transforming ideas into tangible impact through mentorship, strategic planning, and measurable action.
