Working with skaters 3-18 years of age, I coach both private and group figure skating lessons. I conduct and create personalized, one-on-one coaching sessions tailored to individual skaters' skill levels and personal goals, as well as design and execute dynamic group classes for skaters of varying ages and skill levels. This job allows me to maintain open and effective communication with skaters and their parents, providing regular progress updates and addressing any concerns in their training. Out on the ice, I foster a positive and encouraging coaching relationship to motivate skaters to reach their full potential.

In my role working with skaters aged 3-14, I crafted and delivered engaging private and group lessons, tailoring each session to help skaters achieve their individual goals and fostering enduring connections through their shared passion for figure skating. Prioritizing safety, I routinely complete a certified emergency first aid course to ensure the well-being of all skaters and program assistants on the ice. I established a reflective environment by introducing training journals, encouraging skaters to grow not only in the sport but also in their personal development. In collaboration with fellow coaches and parents, I played a key role in designing and choreographing captivating ice show productions and performances, providing a platform to showcase the skaters' hard work and dedication. My commitment extends beyond the rink, aiming to instill a lifelong love for figure skating while nurturing valuable skills and relationships in each skater's journey.

As the Communications Coordinator, I play a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication between the Section Office and the BC/YT section of Skate Canada Stakeholders. My responsibilities encompass overseeing diverse communication channels, including managing online social media content, coordinating impactful email blasts, curating engaging website posts, and contributing to the production of the BC/YT section's quarterly Thin Ice Magazine.

This position underscores my exceptional communication skills and proficiency in navigating various communication platforms within a professional context. I have successfully executed over 10 professional BC/YT section events and competitions through this experience, showcasing my ability to organize and coordinate seamlessly with volunteers, Skate Canada members, skaters, and coaches. This experience not only highlights my dedication to promoting seamless communication but also demonstrates my capacity to orchestrate large-scale events with organization, precision and professionalism.

Assisted in a kindergarten classroom in lesson planning and implementation, fostering a positive learning environment. Provided individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.

Assisted in a grade 3 class fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers. Assisted in organizing and executing school events and parent-teacher conferences, as well as conducted reading sessions to improve literacy skills and foster a love for books.

Assisted in a grade 10-12 art class helping students with individual ceramic art projects promoting creativity through art and craft projects, encouraging self-expression.
