Hired as another road salesmen. Faucher has branches across Canada and my territory was half of BC.
Product line was industrial and truck hardware. The other salesmen was much older than I was and he took me under his wing. I was taught about the product lines and dealing with customers and living as a road salesmen.
Excellent company and good working conditions and was given bonuses. I was hungry for more technical type of sales. I moved onto Summer Equipment Ltd.
Chairmen of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering Vancouver Branch. Held this position for seven years.
Commander of Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron Vancouver Branch 2010-2012.
Boater with lots of sea time experience.
I have a 42' Uniflite Aft cabin power boat. The vessel is twin screw with 6-71N Detroit engines. My wife and I cruise to Desolation Sound, Sunshine Coast and our Gulf Islands. I have lots of boating experience over the years with different vessels. I have taken many power squadron courses in navigation and radar use. I pride myself that I'm capable to do most of my electrical and mechanical work. I have a resource of people that I call on every 300 hours of operation for valve sets etc and checking over the engines with me and learn what they are looking for. Electrical I have done mostly myself with many upgrades. I work with my electrical suppliers and contacts and they check my drawings and sketches before I do the work. My boat is my hoby and keeps me sharp in knowledge and expedience.
